{"id":927,"date":"2019-01-05T16:39:11","date_gmt":"2019-01-05T16:39:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/4hhousealumni.com\/blog\/?p=927"},"modified":"2019-01-05T17:12:08","modified_gmt":"2019-01-05T17:12:08","slug":"2018-distinguished-alumni-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/4hhousealumni.com\/blog\/2019\/2018-distinguished-alumni-award\/","title":{"rendered":"2018 Distinguished Alumni Award &#8211; Meg Cline"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 2018\n4-H HOUSE DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2009, the 4-H House Alumni Association has presented\nthe 4-H House Distinguished Alumni Award to one of our outstanding alumni to\nrecognize contributions she has made to her community, her profession, her\nsorority and\/or her university.&nbsp; Winners\nof this award are an example and a source of pride for all members of the 4-H\nHouse sisterhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The 2018 4-H House\nDistinguished Alumni Award winner is Meg Webster Cline.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meg Cline graduated from the University of Illinois in 1996\nwith a Bachelor of Science Degree in Consumer Economics from the College of\nAgricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES). She received her\nMasters in Business Administration from the University in 2009.&nbsp; Meg is also a Certified Financial Planner and\nhas been awarded a Chartered Financial Analyst Charter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meg lived at 4-H House for 4 years and served as Secretary,\nAssistant Secretary and J-Board Chair.&nbsp; As\nan alumnus, she served on the 4-H House Alumni Association Board from\n2010-2013, was President 2011-2013 and a member of the Renovations Committee\n2012-2014.&nbsp; Her leadership was\ninstrumental in expanding and redefining the qualifications to reside at 4-H\nHouse and for setting in motion the 4-H House renovation. &nbsp;Meg\u2019s determination to see 4-H House thrive\nled to the kitchen remodel in 2013 and the long-term strategic plan to maintain\nthe house infrastructure.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meg has been a lifetime member of the University of Illinois\nAlumni Association since 1996 and a member of the Presidents Council since\n2000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Professionally, Meg\nis Vice President of Gift Planning and Trust Services for the University of\nIllinois Foundation.&nbsp; Previously she was\nAssociate Dean for Advancement in the of College of ACES, Director of Principal\nGifts and Gift Planning Advisor as well as Executive Assistant to the President\nfor Development\/Director of Principal Gifts at the University of Illinois\nFoundation.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meg has been deeply involved in her community.&nbsp; She is a member of P.E.O International\nSisterhood where she has served on the State Member Development Committee and\nhas been President \u2013 twice! Vice President, Fundraising Chair, Budget Chair,\nand Treasurer. She is on the Board of the Crisis Nursery.&nbsp; Meg is a member and has been President, Vice\nPresident Secretary and Treasurer of the Eastern Illinois Estate Planning\nCouncil, a Regent and General Trustee for the Lincoln Academy of Illinois, and\na member of the Financial Planning Association and National Association for\nCharitable Gift Planners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meg has been recipient of many awards and honors.&nbsp; While at the University of Illinois she was a\nmember of Ma-Wan-Da, Atius-Sachem. In 2002 she was named Outstanding Young\nAlumni for the College of ACES.
